Danganronpa 2x2 Pre-Order Checklist

Print this or copy it into a notes app. It exists because people will buy the wrong SKU, then spoil Slayhem in a recap video the same night.

1. Confirm you want this game

• Title is Danganronpa 2x2, not the 2016 Goodbye Despair port, not V3, not a Roblox experience.
• Steam app ID 3751230 if you are on PC.
• Release is upcoming: January 14, 2027. You are pre-ordering, not installing tonight.

2. Platform lock

Use the platform picker, then tick one:

• Switch 2 (1080p, Game-Key Card risk on physical, no save out to Switch 1)
• Switch (720p handheld, playable on Switch 2, save stays on this SKU)
• PS5 (4K 60, disc possible)
• Xbox Series X (4K 60) or Series S (1080p 60)
• Steam
• Epic

If two boxes are ticked, stop. Pick one. Dual-buy only if you mean to own two libraries.

3. Edition lock

• Standard $59.99 — game only, both modes
• Vacation Package $139.99 — merch + one license, platform choice inside the box

If Package, tick the license you want mailed: Switch 2 / Switch / PS5 / Steam card. Xbox is not in that sentence. Details on editions.

4. Bonus fine print

• I read whether 100 Monocoins + Jabberwock souvenir set attaches to this SKU.
• I read whether a Flight Tag is still listed on this regional Spike Chunsoft store.
• I screenshot the product page.
• I understand Monocoins are not documented as a full shop list yet.

5. Household and rating

• ESRB Mature / PEGI 16 / USK 16 is acceptable for everyone who will watch the TV.
• No one expected a two-player trial. Player count is 1.
• Volume warning: executions are loud. Headphones at night are kinder.

6. Spoiler hygiene

• First campaign chosen: Original or Slayhem (comparison).
• Recap videos blocked if the first campaign is Slayhem.
• Friends warned not to type 2012 death order in the group chat.
• This wiki’s cast pages are enough until launch — no “killing order” tabs.

7. Storefront hygiene

• Store is Nintendo / Sony / Microsoft / Steam / Epic / Spike Chunsoft, or a retailer I can actually return to.
• Not a $9.99 “currency pack” with a 2x2 thumbnail.
• Region matches my account (NA/EU vs Japan/Asia data sizes differ on Switch).
• Email receipts forwarded to the person who will play it.

8. Hardware reality check

• PC: Windows 11, 40 GB free, GPU at least RTX 2060 / RX 6600, and I have read the 32 GB RAM recommend.

9. After you click buy

10. Night-before sanity check

On January 13, open the store library once more. Confirm the SKU name still says Danganronpa 2x2, the download queue has space, and your first-mode decision is written down. If a friend sends a “just one clip” from Slayhem, mute the chat until you finish Original — or the other way around. The checklist only works if you still obey it after the receipt arrives.
