Danganronpa 2x2 Cast

The marketing line is blunt: the setting and the cast of characters remain the same, then one incident sends Slayhem into a different chain of deaths. This hub is your roster without a body count.

We keep plot deaths off these pages on purpose. Original mode follows the 2012 story; Slayhem does not have to. If a student is dear to you, assume nothing about their chapter number until you play.

Start with the four faces on every poster

• Hajime Hinata — audience avatar, Reserve Course chip on his shoulder, Johnny Yong Bosch in English.
• Chiaki Nanami — Ultimate Gamer, the calm center of the trip, Christine Marie Cabanos.
• Nagito Komaeda — Ultimate Lucky Student, chaos engine, Bryce Papenbrook. Trailers already put “Slayhem item” in his mouth.
• Monokuma (and Monomi) — headmaster and the pink rabbit who fails to stop him. Brian Beacock and Rebecca Forstadt in English; Wasabi Mizuta as Japanese Monokuma.
• Monomi recast — Kinuta Oshiro takes Japanese Monomi; English stays Forstadt. Do not mash this together with the Mizuta announcement.

The full talent list and remaining VAs live on the cast roster. If you want a ranked “who should I study before launch” instead of a database dump, use the watch list. That list is a primer, not a PvP tier — there is no multiplayer.

How to read a Danganronpa talent

Every student is an Ultimate (super high school level) in some field: gamer, musician, nurse, yakuza, princess, mechanic. The talent is a personality lens and often a murder-method hint. It is not a Street Fighter move list. You do not “main” Chiaki in a ranked queue. You listen to her during Free Time and remember what she would or would not do with a console in a locked room.

When you enter a Class Trial, those talents become alibis (“the Ultimate Photographer took this shot”) or contradictions (“the Ultimate Clairvoyant could not have seen that”). Learn names now so the HUD nameplates in 2027 are not a wall of katakana.

Slayhem versus Original, from a cast angle

Shared:

• The announced English cast, including the Togami-faced Ultimate Imposter (Jason Wishnov).
• The same island social graph: cliques, crushes, people who should not be left near a knife.

Not shared:

• Who is a victim, who is a Blackened, which trick uses whose talent.
• Any “this character is safe because they were safe in 2012” heuristic. Marketing exists to kill that heuristic.

Voice, language, and what is confirmed

Spike Chunsoft’s March 2026 announcement listed the English actors one by one. Japanese credits highlight Wasabi Mizuta as Monokuma. Product text/voice: Japanese and English. If a later trailer adds a new named student, it will land on news first, then here.

Press has noted that the English reveal was careful not to add surprise names. Do not invent a secret 17th classmate because a silhouette looked tall.
